Job description

Position Overview:

This is a part-time seasonal position at the RBC Amphitheatre in Toronto, Ontario. Employment will last until mid to late October, and the hours will vary weekly. Shifts are commonly on evenings and weekends, with a few full-day events scheduled.

Listed are some of the key responsibilities and duties required of a Cashier:

  • Serving food and beverages (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic).
  • Provide a high level of customer service. Able to serve customers in a courteous and cordial manner.
  • Cashiers are responsible for their point of sale, ensuring all orders are properly rung into the register and that the Guest is charged correctly.
  • Cashiers are responsible for inventory at their location, stocking inventory and informing Lead when inventory items are running low.
  • Required to always keep immediate area clean and assist with setup and closing duties within assigned location.
  • All alcohol related policies and laws apply to this position. Required to recognize signs of intoxication and ID Guests when purchasing alcohol.
  • Communication and teamwork are highly important.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid Smart Serve to legally handle and sell alcohol.
  • Pervious alcohol service an asset, however not required.
  • Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends.

pay rate: $17.75 per hour
