Sales - Salesperson


Job Summary

The Pre-Sell Salesman achieves sales goals and distribution targets by servicing and developing assigned accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sells all products in accordance with company guidelines and TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission).
  • Supervises and manages a team composed of drivers, assistant drivers, and merchandisers to ensure customer satisfaction after sale of product.
  • Schedules routes to ensure all customers are visited regularly.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by identifying needs, keeping customer priorities in mind and implementing effective solutions that help customers sell more product.
  • Develops and maintains an effective rapport characterized by open communication and trust with all assigned customers.
  • Continuously increases product knowledge to become an expert resource for customers.
  • Applies the concept of "the salesman you leave behind" to sell more product in each account.
  • Effectively merchandises in all accounts by effective use of displays and point-of-sale (POS) items.
  • Maintains adequate inventory and reduces or eliminates out-of-stocks at each customer account.
  • Enters order information accurately and timely into the handheld sales enablement software.
  • Monitors freshness of product at each account and ensures rotation or removal to meet company standards.
  • Audits condition of all POS to ensure brand representation meets company standards.
  • Completes training, seminars and classes as assigned.
  • Completes and submits sales, incentive and other required reports accurately and on time.


Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. In this position, employees will drive several hours per shift. May have to lift up to 50 pounds.
