What is alcohol distribution?

Alcohol distribution refers to the process by which alcoholic beverages are transported from manufacturers, such as breweries, wineries, or distilleries, to retailers, bars, restaurants, and consumers. This process is typically regulated by state and federal laws to ensure the safe and legal sale of alcohol. Distributors act as intermediaries, ensuring products reach their destinations efficiently and in compliance with regulations. The three-tier system—producers, distributors, and retailers—is commonly used in the United States to manage alcohol distribution.
