Job description

Manages quality assurance activities. Implements, monitors, and interprets testing meant to verify quality or compliance of products or production processes, and suggests modifications meant to prevent defects in components or final products. Manages installs and validates testing equipment or procedures. Analyzes test results and interprets data to produce reports detaining quality related trends. Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles. Performs complex tasks typically following established processes. Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions. Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies.
Responsibilities
  • Manages quality assurance activities. Implements, monitors, and interprets testing meant to verify quality or compliance of products or production processes, and suggests modifications meant to prevent defects in components or final products.
  • Manages installs and validates testing equipment or procedures.
  • Analyzes test results and interprets data to produce reports detaining quality related trends.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
  • Performs complex tasks typically following established processes.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.
  • Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies.
  • Typically requires BA and 5-7 years.

Qualifications
  • Requires technical experience as a quality inspector (preferably 10+ years).
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, understand, and interpret detailed technical orders, work cards, checklists, wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Obtain necessary licenses and certifications required to perform assigned duties.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to deal courteously, professionally, and effectively with the customer.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess a security clearance.
