Beach Lake Sprinkler Fire Protection Services, a subsidiary of DU Family of Companies, was founded in 1992 and is a well-rounded fire protection company with two offices:  Beach Lake, PA and Brooksville, FL.  We excel in new construction, renovation, retrofit, and service work for warehouse, distribution, pharmaceutical, hospital, nursing home, industrial, residential and retail markets.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to add a Fire Alarm Technician Apprentice to our team in Beach Lake, PA.  As a Fire Alarm Technician Apprentice, you will work under the supervision of experienced fire alarm technicians to gain hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems. This role involves learning how to ensure the functionality and compliance of fire alarm systems with local, state, and federal codes. You will participate in training programs and on-the-job learning to develop the skills required to become a certified fire alarm technician.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist senior technicians in the installation and configuration of fire alarm systems in various commercial and residential buildings.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on fire alarm systems to ensure they are operating properly.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning fire alarm systems under the direction of a certified technician.
  • Maintain accurate records of system installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Learn and adhere to safety protocols and industry standards related to fire alarm systems.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure satisfactory service delivery.
  • Obtain NICET Level certifications
