In this role, you will install, program, perform system start- up/check-out, testing/commissioning, customer training and all associated documentation on assigned projects including more complex projects.   • Executes many of the technical aspects of multiple projects with varying timelines and budgets including, programming, graphics development, start-up, certification testing, customer training, close-out documentation, and on-going technical support .
  • Identifies potential project risks, communicates to appropriate parties and assist in the development and implementation of strategies to minimize impact and to control deviations from estimated costs and project
  • Works with Fire Alarm Designer to ensure fire alarm system meets all relevant codes and standards.
  • Works closely with the Project Manager and/or Operations Manager and assists in the overall coordination of specific projects; makes recommendations regarding quality of work and potential changes in scope and identifies ways to continuously improve custom er

What You'll Need
  • Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
  • Ability to convey complex subject matter to a non-technical
  • Willing to learn technical skills and/or experience related to fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security
  • To be a self-starter and work well with little
  • Understanding of electronics to include Ohm's law, resistor color code, and relay logic for control of third-party equipment.
  • Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper).
  • Experience programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning Edwards or equivalent fire alarm systems of small to medium
  • To be driven to achieve necessary certifications/licensing related to products, industry, and city/state.
  • Willingness to coach and mentor less experienced
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving
  • Possess NICET Level II in Fire Alarm
  • Possess low voltage electrical license as required by local/state

Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience Licenses & Certifications:

  • NICET Level II - Fire Alarm Systems Preferred Experience
  • Associate degree in Electronics or related field including equivalent military experience
