Job description

Job requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months - 2 years of experience in commercial installation of electrical products (fire alarms preferred).
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams and follow specifications.
  • Intermediate knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72 installation requirements.
  • Experience in termination of field devices. - State and locally required minimum certifications.
  •  Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work independently with some supervision.
  • Good organizational, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Be physically fit to perform the demanding work of the trade, including frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, maximum occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; able to work from heights and climb ladders; standing and walking for most of the workday.
  • Ability to travel occasionally overnight, as needed.
  • Ability to work onsite in Winter Haven, FL (Monday-Friday. 7AM-4PM or 8AM-5PM).

Day to Day:

We are seeking a Fire Alarm Installer to support a large commercial building project in Winter Haven. This role will assist with the installation of fire alarm systems. You will be responsible for the following:

  • Install fire alarm, voice/data, and security.
  • Install commercial & industrial 3-phase electrical power systems.
  • Install all types of electrical conduit.
  •  Troubleshoot circuit opens, shorts, or ground conditions.
  •  Install and run wires, wire devices, fish walls, and doors.
  •  Complete paperwork, including but not limited to timesheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
  •  Keeps as-built drawings current.
  •  Comply with standards and procedures of industry safety programs/policies.

Compensation: $20-$25/ hour plus benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k).
