Security Officer Alarm Monitoring

As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to security-related alarms. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.45 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor and contractor access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, support driver check-in procedures, and communicate site access requirements in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
