Job Description

As a Security Officer Alarm Panel in Sioux City, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, where you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and communicate professionally while supporting a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the food production location by verifying credentials, screening visitors and contractors, issuing access badges, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Observe inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic at gates and access points, helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting facility access requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, exterior areas, and the business perimeter, documenting security-related observations and reporting concerns to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
