Job description

About the Employer
The Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE) leads with a student-centered vision, innovating in the classroom and building safe and supportive community schools. We collaborate and partner with local, county, and state agencies to address challenges students face.
We are looking for individuals who can enact our vision: equipping the most vulnerable students and those who serve them with the tools to thrive. Join our team as we reimagine services to more holistically support students and erase the predetermination of failure for children, especially Alameda County's most marginalized youth.
Job Summary
The Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE) is seeking experienced, reflective, and student-centered educators to serve as Mentor Teachers for our Teacher Residency Program.
Mentor Teachers play a critical role in developing the next generation of educators by hosting and coaching a resident (co-teacher) for an entire school year through intentional modeling, co-teaching, and instructional coaching.
This opportunity is ideal for educators who are committed to equity, instructional excellence, and professional growth-both for themselves and for the residents they support.
