Location: Fresno, CA
Territory: Manteca to Bakersfield

Base Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 plus commission

Position Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to drive sales growth and expand Maui Jim and Zeal Optics market presence throughout the assigned territory. This position is responsible for developing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, executing company sales and marketing strategies, and providing exceptional support to retail partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Grow sales and increase market penetration for Maui Jim and Zeal Optics within the assigned territory.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective accounts.

  • Identify and prioritize customers with the greatest potential for current and future sales growth.

  • Partner with the Managing Director to optimize territory coverage using call cycle and route planning software.

  • Document account visits, activities, and objectives through the Lae Ula app and other company systems.

  • Represent the Company professionally while communicating products, programs, policies, and services.

  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and economic developments that may impact territory performance, and communicate findings to management.

  • Effectively utilize company-provided sales tools, literature, marketing materials, and promotional programs.

  • Maintain accurate territory records, customer information, and activity reports as required.

  • Increase sales through effective product training, presentations, communication, and relationship-building with customers.

  • Achieve territory sales objectives and other key performance indicators established by the Company.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Gather and communicate marketplace feedback and customer insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Represent Maui Jim and Zeal Optics at trade shows, professional meetings, and industry events as assigned.

  • Submit business expenses and required documentation accurately and on a timely basis.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Desired qualifications:

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of successful outside sales experience.

  • Experience in the optical, eyewear, fashion accessory, or sunglass industry preferred.

Equivalent Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework.

  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of successful outside sales experience.

  • Experience in the optical, eyewear, fashion accessory, or sunglass industry preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and communication abilities.
