Information Assurance Systems Administrator

The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact on national security? You understand your customer's environment and how to develop the right systems for their mission. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer focused engineering solution.

The Information Assurance System Administrator (IASA) provides dedicated information assurance and systems administration support. This role is vital for ensuring the security, compliance, and operational readiness of all information systems, networks, and training infrastructure used during Warfighter Exercises (WFXs). The IASA applies Department of Defense (DoD) regulations and best practices to safeguard against cyber threats, mitigate vulnerabilities, and maintain system integrity in both classified and unclassified environments.

What You'll Do:

  • System administration and maintenance: Perform system and network administration duties for data centers, which include physical and virtual servers and workstations supporting Command and Control Information Systems (C2IS).
  • Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM): Manage the IAVM program by applying patches, hotfixes, and security patches (IAVAs) as directed by higher command. Ensure all systems remain compliant with security mandates.
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF): Support the RMF process by ensuring all systems are built, configured, and maintained according to DoD standards. This includes reviewing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Best Business Practices (BBPs).
  • Vulnerability scanning: Configure, operate, and maintain Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) servers to conduct regular vulnerability scans of network enclaves, including unclassified and classified. Report scan results to the Information System Owner (ISO).
  • Cybersecurity support for exercises: Assist technical teams and training audiences with resolving cybersecurity and systems administration issues during Warfighter Exercises.
  • Troubleshooting and problem resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network failures, and implement solutions to restore production capabilities.
  • Access control and account management: Administer access control lists and manage user account permissions for network and system access.
  • Data backup and recovery: Implement system and data backup procedures and develop recovery plans to ensure mission data and systems can be restored following an outage.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for servers, network infrastructure, and associated information systems.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience and application of NIST, DoD, and Army Cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework policies, directives, instructions, manuals, and best business practices
