Department: TransportationPosition Summary

ASG Operators are responsible for providing safe, courteous, and reliable transportation services to passengers utilizing terminal-to-terminal connections. Operators must demonstrate strong defensive driving skills, professionalism, and the ability to follow strict safety and service protocols in a fast-paced, 24/7 operating environment.

This position requires flexibility, dependability, and a genuine commitment to passenger safety, operational excellence, and superior customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport passengers to and from scheduled destinations in accordance with assigned routes and manifests
  • Provide respectful assistance with boarding, securement, and de-boarding of passengers using mobility devices (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.)
  • Operate vehicles in compliance with all DOT, ADA, company, and traffic regulations
  • Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and accurately report any defects or safety concerns
  • Utilize two-way radio or electronic dispatch systems to communicate with the dispatch/control center
  • Respond professionally to service disruptions, delays, accidents, or passenger concerns
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle environment at all times
  • Demonstrate defensive driving techniques to minimize risk and ensure passenger safety
  • Uphold a professional appearance, demeanor, and customer-focused attitude throughout each shift

Minimum Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

  • Must be at least22 years of age
  • Must possess and maintain avalid Georgia CDL (Class A or B) drivers license with Passenger and Airbrake endorsements.
  • Must have been a CDL licensed driver for a minimum of three (3) consecutive years
  • No drivers license suspensions or serious violations within the past three (3) years
  • Must pass:
    • Criminal federal background check
    • DOT physical
    • Drug and alcohol screening
  • Must maintain avalid DOT medical cardthroughout employment

Availability Requirements (Critical)

  • Must befully available to work the scheduled shift
  • ASG operates24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior professional driving experience
  • Experience assisting passengers with disabilities needs
  • Strong attendance and reliability history
  • Comfort working independently with minimal supervision

Physical & Job Demands

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle
  • Ability to assist passengers and handle mobility equipment as required
