Job Summary
As an Air Logistics Warehouse Associate you will contribute to the timely delivery of Express packages by loading and unloading of air freight containers, moving these containers from airplane to truck for on-time delivery to our customers at our airport location. This job is a cross-dock operation; your role is to move Express packages from aircraft to warehouse to trucks with no/minimal storage. Our indoor facility is an open-air environment and not temperature controlled, and you may work in or around aircraft. Responsibilities
  • Load and unload Express packages from air freight containers to and from semi-trucks in a widely dispersed area.
  • Sorting, scanning and movement of small packages within the warehouse.
  • Buildup / Breakdown package containers ready for outbound/inbound flights
  • Removal of tie-downs and other gear when loading and unloading
  • Operate air freight handling equipment such as pallet jacks and gaylords (push carts)
  • Weighing, labeling, or make/break-down of gaylords or air freight containers
  • Check air express containers for proper piece count, weight, dimensions and documents as appropriate per air safety and security guidelines
  • Report to position on time, as scheduled, including mandatory overtime requirements, varying shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Successfully complete required computer based and on the job trainings
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance standards
  • Perform all functions in accordance with safety procedures and policies
  • Work outdoors with exposure to extreme weather/elements, engine noise, and noxious fumes

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED or international equivalent required
  • One-year experience in similar role preferred not required
  • Valid Driver's license (depending on station)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and holidays. Peak Season (November-December) may require longer hours
  • Ability to read, write and understand the English language
  • Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without, assistance of sight or visual aids

Preferred Skills
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday and Sunday), and holidays.
  • Ability to judge distances.
  • Ability to successfully communicate with others.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, multiple times a day
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, rain, wind and snow
  • Ability to stand for an entire shift and move long distances across our facilities by foot
