Job Summary:

The Duty Manager is responsible for ensuring the daily airport operation runs in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. The Duty Manager will oversee and coordinate team activities to create a safe, reliable, efficient, and effective operation.

Job Duties:

Supervises and coordinates team activities related to the operation.

Coaches, counsels and mentors employees, including issuing disciplinary action as required.

Assists in recruiting, administrative, payroll, employee scheduling, and general administrative duties.

Monitors staffing and overtime use and operational and financial performance of the assigned station.

Promotes team-building initiatives to develop and motivate team members.

Complete work in a safe and secure manner, following company safety and operational standards.

Immediately report safety and security incidents as well as potential hazards in line with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.

Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill, experience, and capabilities expected for this position.

Qualifications:

High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Possesses a valid Driverโ€™s License.

Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.

Supervisory experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of relevant work experience in the aviation or ground handling services industry.

Physical requirements:

Must be able to frequently push, pull, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, lift up to 70lbs and move up to 70lbs; and constantly walk, stand, handle, grasp and reach out. May have to reach above shoulder occasionally.

Working conditions:

You will need to have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime. We operate in a shift bid environment.

Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment.

Enjoy the outdoors on a daily basis (sun, rain, sleet or snow!) May be exposed to a wide variety of weather conditions, jet and machinery noises, fumes, dirt and dust for extended periods.
