Job description

Sky Café is seeking dependable and safety-focused Transport Driver Helpers / Marshalls to support daily flight operations. In this role, you will assist with staging equipment, delivering catering products to aircraft, and safely guiding high-lift catering trucks during aircraft servicing.

Position Overview

Transport Driver Helpers / Marshalls play a critical role in ensuring aircraft catering operations are completed safely, accurately, and on time. This position supports transport drivers by gathering required equipment, coordinating at the aircraft, and marshaling high-lift units in compliance with airport and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and stage all necessary equipment for assigned flights

  • Assist with delivering catering products to aircraft

  • Guide and marshal high-lift catering units to and from aircraft in accordance with standard operating procedures

  • Maintain situational awareness around aircraft to ensure safe vehicle movement

  • Communicate and coordinate with Customer Service team members, flight attendants, and airport operations personnel to identify and resolve issues

  • Comply with all standard operating procedures and PHX airport rules and regulations

  • Work in a time-sensitive environment to ensure all products meet required ready times

  • Follow all safety, security, and PPE requirements at all times

Requirements & Qualifications

Licensing & Screening

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug testing, and a criminal background check, including TSA and Customs requirements

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50+ pounds

  • Ability to work safely from heights

  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for 8+ hour shifts

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, and heat, with appropriate protective clothing

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Ability to work using required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety footwear, hearing protection, goggles, and other required gear

  • Flexibility to work variable shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays

  • Reliable and regular attendance is essential to successful job performance
