Seeking a Civil Engineering project leader to champion airport design projects—including landside, airside upgrades, rehabilitation, expansions, and construction administration for general aviation to commercial airfields in our local and surrounding communities.

THE ROLE

The Civil Engineer will thrive with a variety of engineering project design opportunities available. The Civil Engineer will support and at times lead the planning and design of airport projects for clients across a spectrum of design work from facilities, terminals, runways, navigation, and airspace studies to water, gas, and power design and analysis.

These responsibilities include:

  • Expertly collaborates with design teams, clients and regulatory agencies to grasp project vision.
  • Leverage design software to create project designs, draft plans, drawings, and models according to project specifications.
  • Applies FAA and airport safety knowledge in design work.
  • Ensures precision and project safety through meticulous design.
  • Tackles design challenges creatively, resolving complex problems.
  • Performs technical writing for Request for Proposals, report writing, project specifications, and memorandums.
  • Applies construction knowledge to oversee builds.
  • Support project managers with construction administration tasks.
  • Leads project management tasks and cross-functional teams.
  • Completes project tasks from start to finish, supporting project and client services managers.
  • Analyze facilities for system deficiencies regarding compliance with local, state, and federal standards and regulations. Provide improvement alternatives to meet compliance with such regulations.
  • Provide job site support and observation and monitor construction progress.

YOUR STRENGTHS
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction engineering or equivalent ABET-accredited engineering program
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) professional designation required
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or willing to obtain after-hire
  • Minimum 4+ years of airport airfield, landside/airside design and construction experience
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and airport safety preferred
  • Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D and Blue Beam
  • Project engineering experience desired
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Growth mindset for client acquisition
  • Valid driver's license and insurable record for travel
