We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician!

**Individuals with military backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply! Strong consideration is given to applicants with military history.

The Lead Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician will supervise and perform advanced sheet metal repairs, modifications, and installations on aircraft structures. Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company standards while leading a team of skilled technicians. This individual will also support AOG operations at various stations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor sheet metal team; assign tasks and ensure quality
  • Perform complex sheet metal fabrication and repairs per technical drawings
  • Maintain compliance with FAA, OEM, and safety standards.
  • Inspect completed work and document maintenance actions
  • Perform Line Maintenance duties other than Sheetmetal.
  • AOG travel on an as needed basis.

Requirements:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have a valid A&P and State Driver’s License
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English and the ability to interpret technical data and special operating instructions
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds
  • Must have 5+ years aircraft sheet metal experience; 2+ years in a lead role
  • Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be able to climb ladders ranging from 6 to 10 feet tall
  • Must have strong technical, leadership, and communication skills.

Workplace environment:

  • Potential exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, and moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat. You will often be exposed to various weather elements as well.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically loud.
