Job Title: Structures Technician

Job Description

The Structures Technician III assembles, modifies, and repairs complex aircraft structures and components on large transport aircraft. This role performs advanced sheet metal and structural work, including major assembly structures and minor part-fitting operations, while ensuring all tasks meet stringent aerospace and defense quality standards. The technician reads and interprets technical data, works from jigs and fixtures, and supports structural modifications on highly specialized military platforms.

Qualifications

Must have 5+ years of Aviation Structures Experience (MILITARY AIRCRAFT SHEETMETAL EXPERIENCE WELCOMED) 

- Must have own tools in good working order 

- Ability to understand applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications. 

- Ability to complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch

- Progressive experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting techniques and repair and refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal, a

- Must be able to Obtain & Maintain a Security Clearance 

- Must have 2+ years experience

Work Environment

This role follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is based in a large aircraft modification facility working on widebody platforms. The environment involves hands-on work in and around aircraft structures, jigs, and fixtures, with frequent use of tools such as rivet guns, drills, micrometers, and calipers. You will frequently climb stairs and steps, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive hand, arm, and finger motions requiring fine dexterity. Vision requirements include close and distance work, depth perception, and color differentiation, while hearing abilities must support discerning different tones and volumes. The position frequently exposes you to outdoor elements such as high or low temperatures, sun, rain, or snow when working on or around aircraft. You may also encounter fumes or hazardous chemicals and materials, as well as loud noise levels typical of an active aircraft maintenance and modification environment. This is a safety-sensitive position responsible for the safety and security of people and property, including inspecting structures, equipment, or vehicles, performing aviation-related duties, and operating or supervising vehicles and heavy or potentially dangerous equipment or machinery. Appropriate personal protective equipment and safety procedures are integral to daily operations

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
