Standard Job Description What You Will Be Doing Establishes and directs a training system and/or conducts classroom and practical instruction to provide technical knowledge for the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of aircraft, aircraft systems, ground equipment, tools, test equipment, stores and facilities, according to established procedures. May analyze current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs. Writes, edits, and produces materials for technical instruction.

Provides assistance and support to all divisions in helping them determine their training needs and develop and conduct their maintenance training programs. Establishes and directs the maintenance of company-wide training programs. Establishes and directs the maintenance of a company-wide training and qualification record system.

Maintains currency in technical developments, technical training, and audiovisual techniques including the maintenance of company aircraft instruction manuals. Coordinates all required technical training and outside contract sales technical training programs. Exclude ground school instructors.

Basic Qualifications The Workforce Integration and Training organization is seeking a Senior Maintenance Trainer for the Marietta, Factory and Field Training team (F&FT)

Experience working aircraft structural maintenance, preferably on 5th generation aircraft such as F35/F22 as well as C-130 structural aircraft experience. Experience with reading and interpreting aviation blueprints Structural Quality experience Deliver structures training to production and flight operations employees. Establish and deliver technical training programs targeted on the installation, maintenance, repair, of aircraft structures materials, specific tools, test equipment, and utilize internal company systems such as SFM, QADS, ICA, PDM, MPS's, PS, and JDL.

Review lesson plans and materials for technical instruction in preparation for class delivery. Maintain instructor currency/proficiency of assigned courses. Responsible for course control document reviews.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically power point and excel. Responsible for roster accuracy, and class completion verification. Expected to provide technical expertise in a consulting role to engineering and production teams to meet DCMA 8210.0 and other contractual training requirements

Facilitating/Instructor/Teaching experience to include classroom lecture, shop performance and evaluations Minimum of 6 years of structural maintenance experience on fighter and cargo (C-130, F-35, and F-22) aircraft to include Drill, Ream and Countersink, Solid and Liquid Shimming, Fastener Installation, and Bonding techniques. Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints (C-130/F-35/F-22) Experienced with the use of standard shop tools used to perform structural maintenance Quality Aviation Structural Experience Proficient in using Microsoft applications such as Proficient in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint This position will require travel to support other sites that fall under Marietta such as Meridian MS & Clarksburg WV. At times you will be required to support other Aero F&FT training sites such as Fort Worth TX, Palmdale CA, Pinellas FL & Greenville SC.
