F-22 Structures Mechanic

Company:

Boeing Aerospace Operations

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an F-22 Structures Mechanic to assist our F-22 team at Langley Air Force Base (AFB), Virginia.

In this role you will be responsible for performing maintenance repair and upgrades on F-22 systems and structures.You will utilize aircraft technical orders, publications, blueprints, and drawings to perform a variety of maintenance actions on aircraft systems and sub systems including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engines.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintains, repairs, and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty.

  • Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting user documentation such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals.

  • Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications.

  • Working knowledge of technical publications

  • Proper use and understanding of PPE to include eyes, ears, foot, and head.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years aircraft maintenance experience/aircraft structural repair

  • 3+ years of experience with aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts, requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair

  • 3+ years of experience in precision drilling

  • Must be willing to work variable shifts

  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience repairing, and servicing military fighter aircraft F-15, F-16, F-18, A-10, F-22, F-35

  • 1+ year(s) 5th generation aircraft maintenance experience

  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting aircraft avionics systems

  • Experience drilling, cutting, and fabricating aircraft structural components

  • Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers.

  • Experience with metal tubing and fittings to include swaging applications
