Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (3-Month Assignment)

As a Structural Design Engineer, you will support the BCA Structures organization, focusing on aircraft structural systems including landing gear, doors, and flight deck or passenger windows. Your engineering expertise will help ensure the structural integrity, performance, and reliability of some of the world's most advanced aircraft.

What You'll Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Perform structural analysis and design activities for aircraft components and assemblies.

  • Support aircraft structure programs involving:

    • Landing Gear Systems

    • Aircraft Doors

    • Flight Deck Windows

    • Passenger Windows

  • Evaluate structural performance and identify opportunities for design improvements.

  • Develop engineering solutions to address complex structural challenges.

  • Create and support 3D models and engineering documentation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, design, and program management.

  • Communicate analysis results and technical recommendations to a broad audience.

  • Support configuration management and product data processes.

  • Ensure designs meet safety, performance, quality, and regulatory requirements.

  • Take initiative in identifying project needs and driving solutions with minimal direction.


Required QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor's Degree in:

    • Mechanical Engineering

    • Aerospace Engineering

    • Aeronautical Engineering

    • Civil Engineering (Structural Emphasis)

    • Materials Science

  • Degree must be from an ABET-accredited university.

Experience
  • 12+ years of related experience in structural analysis and engineering.

  • Strong experience supporting aircraft structures and structural design activities.

  • Proven ability to evaluate, analyze, and resolve complex engineering challenges.


Preferred Qualifications

Exceptional candidates may also possess:

  • Prior experience working with structural commodities.

  • Experience with CATIA, ENOVIA, or other advanced 3D modeling tools.

  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Familiarity with DCCS, ETAC, and PDM systems.

  • Strong technical communication and presentation skills.

  • Experience working in highly dynamic, collaborative engineering environments.

  • Ability to independently identify work scope and execute tasks with limited oversight.

  • Proven success providing technical solutions across a broad range of structural engineering challenges.

Pay Details: $80.00 to $92.00 per hour
