Job Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on hardware, software, and systems technician to support the day-to-day IT operations of our Boulder office and assist with always growing IT needs across our global teams. You will own the setup and maintenance of office hardware, provide user support and administration, while improving our server infrastructure and working on upgrade projects. Your initiative and organizational skills will keep user, server, and conferencing systems secure and performing well. Tech-forward thinking, coding skills, and curiosity will enable you to take on interesting additional projects on the roof, in the hangar, or on aircraft!

Key Responsibilities

On-site Systems & Network Support

  • Assist with maintenance of internal systems and services
  • Monitor systems and networks and escalate issues as needed
  • Support routine updates, patches, and system health checks
  • Help maintain IT inventories, asset tracking, and software licensing records
  • Configure routers and switches

End-User & Desktop Support

  • Set up, configure, and maintain employee laptops, desktops, peripherals, and mobile devices
  • Assist employees with common software, hardware, and connectivity issues
  • Provide onboarding and offboarding IT support (account setup, equipment provisioning, access removal)
  • Use Jira to document issues, resolutions, and procedures, as well as track assets
  • Security & Compliance Support
  • Follow established IT security policies and procedures
  • Assist with access management requests (new users, role changes, removals)
  • Escalate security or compliance concerns to senior IT staff

Office and Facitilites IT

  • Assist with network cabling, workstation moves, and office equipment setup
  • Support printers, conference rooms, phones, and AV systems
  • Coordinate with vendors when required, under supervision

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 3+ years desktop support
  • Solid knowledge of networking practices and devices
  • User and System administration
  • Ticket tracking
  • Self-directed, industrious, wholistic view of IT

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Basic programming and scripting skills (Bash, Powershell, Python, C++)
  • Server administration (Windows/Linux)
  • Strong TCP/IP knowledge, firewalls, routers, switches
