Position Summary

Davcor Aviation Services is currently seeking experienced Aircraft Systems Mechanics (A&P) to support commercial aircraft heavy maintenance operations in Kansas City, MO.

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, removing, and installing aircraft systems and components while maintaining compliance with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company quality standards. Candidates should possess strong systems troubleshooting experience and be comfortable working on Boeing and Airbus aircraft platforms in a commercial MRO environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, removal, and installation of aircraft systems and components

  • Remove and reinstall aircraft engines in accordance with maintenance manuals and approved procedures

  • Troubleshoot and repair engine-related discrepancies

  • Perform pneumatic system troubleshooting, repairs, and operational checks

  • Remove, install, and troubleshoot aircraft landing gear systems and related components

  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical publications

  • Perform operational and functional checks following maintenance activities

  • Document maintenance performed in accordance with FAA and company requirements

  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Follow all FAA, OSHA, customer, and company safety policies and procedures

  • Support overtime, weekend work, and schedule flexibility as required by operational demands

QualificationsRequired
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License

  • Minimum three (3) years of commercial aircraft maintenance experience

  • Previous Commercial MRO experience preferred

  • Experience performing engine removal and reinstallation

  • Experience troubleshooting aircraft systems and components

  • Experience performing landing gear removal, installation, and troubleshooting

  • Experience troubleshooting aircraft pneumatic systems

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and maintenance documentation

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced maintenance environment

Preferred
  • Experience working on Boeing 737 aircraft

  • Experience working on Boeing 767 aircraft

  • Experience working on Airbus aircraft

  • Heavy maintenance, overhaul, or modification experience

  • Run and taxi qualification preferred

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces for extended periods

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Ability to work from ladders, maintenance stands, and elevated platforms

  • Ability to wear required PPE and comply with all safety requirements
