Job description

Position Summary:

Vali Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Mech II Avionics (CH) to join our team. This position maintains repairs and modifies aircraft avionics and subsystem components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components, applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation, and applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as; blueprints or manufactures' manuals. This position involves conducting both Field and Sustainment level maintenance tasks on CH-47 series aircraft, focusing on avionics, electrical, and instruments. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing intricate electronic equipment. Work will be carried out in specialized workshops dedicated to Field and Sustainment level maintenance and fixed base operations. Additionally, the position requires performing diagnostic troubleshooting and maintenance repairs directly on the flight line to meet customer needs.

  • Execute proficient troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of aircraft aligning with aviation regulations, manufacturers' guidelines, and our company policies.
  • Uphold stringent documentation standards, ensuring comprehensive and updated aircraft maintenance records.
  • Adhere diligently to organizational policies and procedures, maintaining a compliant and efficient workspace.
  • Demonstrate leadership by guiding teams through complex, aircraft-related tasks as and when necessary.
  • Effectively prioritize workload, ensuring organized and timely completion of assigned projects
  • Will be responsible for maintaining aircraft records in customer-provided aircraft management systems (ACN/SAP).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience in aircraft maintenance within the last six (6) years on assigned airframe.
  • Proficiency in Aircraft Notebook (ACN).
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a secret clearance required for access to facilities and COMSEC equipment.

Skills & Expertise:

  • In-depth knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting and repair.
  • A foundational understanding of electrical theory.
  • Extensive familiarity with specialized aircraft tools, including but not limited to, test equipment, torque wrenches, and dial indicators.

Physical Demand:

  • Candidates may be subjected to pre-employment physicals pertinent to the role, such as operating Ground Support Equipment and wearing personal respirators.
  • Candidates may be subjected to pre-employment drug screening.
  • May be required to travel.
  • May be required to work night/evening shifts.
  • May be required to work overtime and weekends.
