Hancock Aviation is a top-tier aviation services company specializing in the maintenance, sales, and management of private and corporate aircraft. We operate a growing maintenance facility in Baton Rouge and support a wide range of general aviation and turbine aircraft. As our operation continues to expand, we are seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our professional, team-oriented maintenance department.

Job Description

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing high-quality routine and non-routine maintenance on a variety of aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a structured, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance and inspections

  • Inspect aircraft systems and components to identify wear, defects, or discrepancies

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues

  • Complete maintenance tasks in compliance with FAA regulations and approved data

  • Accurately document all maintenance and repair work in aircraft records

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and inspectors

  • Support shop workflow and assist with additional tasks as needed

Qualifications
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (Required)

  • Experience performing aircraft maintenance and repairs

  • Strong working knowledge of aircraft systems and components

  • Proven troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
