About the Roleย 

Asย an Aircraftย Maintenance Instructor (A&P Mechanic Instructor), you will deliverย FAA Part 147-alignedย aviation maintenance curriculum and provide hands-on instruction to studentsย preparing forย careers asย aircraftย maintenance technicians (AMTs).ย 

This role is ideal for experienced A&P mechanics,ย aircraftย mechanics, and aviation maintenance professionals who want to combine technicalย expertiseย with mentorship and training while delivering hands-on aviation maintenance instruction in classroom and active hangar environments.ย ย 

Schedule Optionsย 

  • Option 1: Monday - Friday 7:15am-3:45pm
  • Option 2: Monday - Thursday 3:15pm - 11:45pm, Friday 10:30am - 7:00pm

Key Responsibilitiesย 

  • Teach aircraft maintenance systems, procedures, and techniques in a hands-on environment
  • Deliver FAA-aligned curriculum to prepare students for A&P certification
  • Demonstrate practical skills used by A&P mechanics and aviation technicians
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
  • Support curriculum updates and collaborate with program leadership
  • Help create a structured, engaging, and safety-focused learning environment
  • Maintain classroom, lab equipment, and training materialsย ย 

Qualificationsย 

Educationย 

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree in aviation or related field preferred ย 

Experienceย 

  • Minimum 3 years ofย aircraftย maintenance experienceย ย 
  • Background as an A&P Mechanic,ย Aircraftย Mechanic, or Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT)ย ย 

Licensureย 

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificateย requiredย ย 

Skillsย 

  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and aviation maintenance procedures
  • Interest in mentoring, coaching, and developing others
  • Ability to work in a structured, compliance-driven training environment
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
