Description:

The Maintenance Project Manager is accountable for all aspects of the aircraft visit, including proper use of manpower, coordination with other management, constant communication with the customer and guaranteeing compliance with all regulatory guidelines.  

 

What you will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for safety, quality, on-time delivery and financial results of assigned projects
  • Ensures continuous coordination and communication between the Lead Mechanic and Supervisors to provide efficient productivity, and a smooth transition between shifts. 
  • Manage assigned projects in the most effective manner eliminating waste and improving productivity
  • Coordinate with the Planning Department to establish project schedules, set goals and establish budget 
  • Execute project targets and goals, notifying management of all deviations 
  • Must be adequately versed in all aspects of their assigned project, reviewing man-hours along with technical and critical path oversight
  • Ensure open communication with the customer daily 
  • Build and promote positive employee morale, focusing on teamwork, culture, and growth
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization for all assigned work areas 
  • Ensure facilities, equipment and tooling are in safe operating condition 
  • Ensure employees wear and properly use personal protective equipment and work in a safe manner 
  • Participate in daily staff status briefings
  • Verify employees are properly trained to efficiently perform required tasks 
  • Ensure that all work and documentation meet the standards of the governing agencies (i.e. FAA, EPA, OSHA), as well as the repair stations’ policies and procedures
  • Fulfill administrative project reporting requirements
  • All other duties as assigned

 

What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Airframe & Powerplant License  
  • Ten (10) years of aircraft maintenance experience with a minimum of five (5) years’ leadership experience
  • High School diploma or G.E.D
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to interact with a wide variety of people
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft Office suite and HAECO’s MAJIC system 
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Project management experience with formal Project management training or certification preferred
