Job description

At Omni Aircraft Maintenance, we built our reputation one aircraft at a time. Since 1983, operators across business aviation have trusted us to keep their aircraft flying safely and on schedule. We are an FAA Part 145 Repair Station with more than 40 years of experience maintaining business jet aircraft. Our AOG technicians are the extension of that promise in the field: dispatched when it matters most, performing with precision under pressure, and representing Omni at every aircraft-side interaction. If that is the kind of work you were built for, we want to talk.
โ–  What You Can Expect
As our AOG Technician based at McKinney National Airport (KTKI), you will be the face of Omni Aircraft Maintenance when operators need us most. You will respond to Aircraft-On-Ground events throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and surrounding geographic areas, completing time-sensitive repairs with the professionalism and precision our customers depend on. No two days are the same. What stays constant is the standard: safe, compliant, and done right the first time. This is not an entry-level position โ€” work is performed independently with minimal oversight.
โ–  Your Role in the Field
Immediate AOG Response
  • Provide 24/7 AOG response throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and surrounding geographic areas.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with customers throughout each AOG event, providing timely and professional updates.
  • Coordinate status and support with Omniโ€™s Maintenance Control and leadership throughout every event.
Technical Excellence
  • Perform inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and return-to-service work on a variety of business jet aircraft.
  • Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, FAA regulations, and Omniโ€™s Repair Station Manual.
  • Verify that proper tooling, approved parts, and acceptable hardware are used on every job.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on aircraft where applicable.
Documentation amp; Compliance
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, parts used, and expenses incurred so work orders can be processed promptly.
  • Complete all documentation per Quality Department requirements to ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Comply with all company rules, manuals, and management policies.
Customer Relationships amp; Professionalism
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with operators and flight departments in your region.
  • Project a professional demeanor in appearance, communication, and conduct at all times.
  • Keep your work area and company vehicle clean and presentable.
  • Attend factory-approved and company-assigned training as directed.
โ–  Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe amp; Powerplant (A amp;P) certificate โ€” required.
  • 5+ yearsโ€™ experience maintaining business jet aircraft.
  • Part 145 Repair Station background preferred.
  • Must own a complete set of aircraft mechanicโ€™s hand tools.
  • Valid U.S. driverโ€™s license with a clean driving record; must be insurable under OAMโ€™s auto insurance policy. Real ID required.
  • Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass a background check, criminal history review, MVR, and pre-employment drug screen.
โ–  Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • Ability to bend, squat, and climb ladders; work on elevated surfaces.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions, including high-noise environments.
  • Routine and repetitive physical motion with arms and hands; standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Some travel required.
โ–  What We Offer
Omni offers competitive compensation and a full benefits package built for the demands of field AOG work:
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Company-paid group life insurance, AD amp;D, and short- and long-term disability
  • Matching 401(k) plan
  • Paid holidays, vacation, and sick time
  • Factory-approved training on one or more aircraft types
  • Significant overtime opportunity on an 8 on / 6 off schedule
Omni Aircraft Maintenance is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
