Help
- You will remove, install, test, operate, troubleshoot, modify, repair and calibrate multi-system complexes consisting of several complete integrated systems that communicate on a data bus to a central computer.
- You will make functional and quantitative check outs of electronic systems to insure proper performance and reliability of systems prior, during and after flight.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Aviation Support Equipment license.
Qualifications
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job.
The Screen-out for this position is performing the following tasks:
- Working from schematics and technical data. repairs. modifies, tests, adjusts and calibrates electronic systems such as countermeasure navigation computer systems, radar direction finders, IFF, sound amplifiers and interphone systems as either as individual units or combined systems and drone guidance and stabilization systems;
- Troubleshoots problems encountered by checking all circuits and systems involved by operating equipment or portions or the systems on both ground and aircraft power;
- Determines corrective measures to be taken when problems are identified in the systems;
- Required to make functional tests, interpret and apply a wide variety of technical data, evaluate operational characteristics by observing and analyzing display data, waveforms, voltage/current/power, instrument readings, physical operations of mechanical displacement of aircraft control surfaces and antennas, etc. on such systems as electronic counter measure, secured data transmission, tactical data systems, communication and navigation systems, search radar, inertial navigation systems, etc.

Additional information
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
This position requires rotating shift work.

A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
