Job description

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for working alongside aircraft loading crews, verifying cargo locations, proper cargo restraint, adherence to ABX COMAT procedures, and notifying the local operational leadership of any loading discrepancies which must be resolved prior to the completion of the loading process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Observe loading of Unit Load Devices (ULD) on ABX aircraft
  • Observe loading of bulk cargo on ABX aircraft
  • Document the weights for all ULDs and bulk cargo on the ABX Ramp Load Verification Sheet (RLVS)
  • Ensure all cargo is properly restrained
  • Ensure all ABX COMAT procedures are followed
  • Ensure the SABLE Weight and Balance Loadsheet aligns with the RLVS
  • Communicate any identified cargo or restraint issues to local operational leadership immediately
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This job has no Supervisory responsibilities.
  • The ABX Load Verifier will independently perform load verification during the loading operation.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Withstand outdoor / adverse working conditions
  • Be able to pass a TSA Security Assessment and Criminal History Records Check
  • Be able to obtain US airport SIDA access
 PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Previous aircraft ramp operations experience
  • Previous aircraft loading experience
