Job description

Perform in-process and final inspections of aircraft systems and components to determine the conformity of the aircraft to approved data and airworthiness. Perform installation inspections of components, structures wiring, and other aircraft associated items for conformity to engineering and other approved data. Perform good understanding of Production Organization Approval (POA) processes and how it correlates to daily activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform complete major inspection of aircraft, components, major assemblies, sub- assemblies, production tools or parts during manufacturing, modifications, installation, service, overhaul or flight to determine airworthiness, safety or conformance to approved data and Company standards and requirements. Apply technical knowledge in the fields of mechanics, hydraulics, electricity, sheet metal, rigging, instruments, test flights, etc. to determine and sign off safety, airworthiness, or conformance. Interpret and check prints, both hard copy and electronic, engineering change orders and governmental regulatory procedures and specifications. Use precision measuring guides, gauges and laboratory instruments. Familiar with FAR Part 145, 135, 91, 65 and 21. Prepare necessary aircraft related FAA, customer or company documents. Complete and maintain reports and records as required. Accurately enter electronic data related to aircraft production, completion and installation operations. Effectively collaborate with various management groups from the Business Units and Engineering. Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures. Perform all other duties assigned Assist in development of procedures and written instructions related to quality issues.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Airframe certificate Minimum of 5 years' experience in scheduled or unscheduled aircraft maintenance or equivalent. Minimum of 1 years' experience with FAR 145 Repair Station and FAR 43 Maintenance. Minimum of 1 years' experience with FWW/EASA/POA processes. Minimum of 1 delegation right (CVE, Form 1, Form 52, Form 53, NCR MRB, Repair Station or Powerplant License) Able to read and understand structural and avionic drawings, schematics, test procedures, etc. Good verbal and written communication skills to prepare detailed reports. Computer literacy Critical thinking, logic and analytical skills. Pass vision testing, minimum 20/20 corrected, and with no limitations in color perception. Must demonstrate competency in English (read, write, speak and understand the English language) Able to work in a high noise environment (jet engines, air tools, etc.) with or without reasonable accommodation

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in aerospace field Powerplant License FCC license 5S+ / LEAN principles ACE values WORKING CONDITIONS: Some travel may be required. Work various shifts. Overtime required. Outside work and work in non-climate-controlled areas are required. Involves exposure to chemicals and dust levels set by OSHA standards. Must be physically able to walk up and down steps, able to walk long distances, climb, stand, kneel and work in confined areas all with or without reasonable accommodation
