Job description

F-16 Aircraft Assembler

PGS Worldwide is seeking an F-16 Aircraft Assembler in Pinellas Park, FL for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The F-16 Aircraft Assembler will support aviation production by performing hands-on aircraft assembly, heavy structures work, and manufacturing operations. This role requires experience using hand tools, reading complex assembly drawings, locating holes from blueprints, and supporting precision aircraft structures assembly.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3–5 years of experience in aviation assembly, heavy structures, and manufacturing.
  • Experience using hand tools such as torque wrenches, drills, inspection tools, riveting tools, and other assembly tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex assembly drawings or instructions.
  • Experience locating holes from blueprints by hand layout, required tooling, and/or technology-based platforms.
  • Ability to support aircraft structures assembly and manufacturing work.

Preferred Skills

  • 5–10 years of hands-on experience in aviation assembly, heavy structures, and manufacturing.
  • F-16 specific experience.
  • Experience with aircraft assembly, airframe assembly, heavy structures, sheet metal assembly, drilling, riveting, blueprint reading, hand layout, inspection tools, torque tools, and aerospace manufacturing.

What You'll Do

  • Perform aircraft assembly operations supporting F-16 production work.
  • Assemble heavy aircraft structures and related components.
  • Use torque wrenches, drills, riveting tools, inspection tools, and other hand tools.
  • Read and follow complex assembly drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Locate holes from blueprints using hand layout, required tooling, and/or technology-based platforms.
  • Support manufacturing tasks in accordance with production and quality requirements.
  • Inspect work and verify assembly accuracy during production.
