Responsibilities

The AM II Egress Technician will diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul aircraft engines and assemblies, such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Includes helicopter and aircraft engine specialists. 

They will perform scheduled/unscheduled O-Level maintenance on specific applicable T/M/S aircraft Egress, Environmental and related systems. Perform flight line essential services as directed to daily Flight Schedule. Routine lifting in excess of OSHA standards is required. Routine ordnance loading will require team lifts of ordnance items up to 167 pounds’ load share per team member, in accordance with standard USN procedures.


Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent. 
  • Personnel must be graduates of approved O-Level training, AME School, manufacturer, or Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit for specific T/M/S egress systems.
  • Shall have completed and able to document the appropriate T/M Navy Egress Class "C" school.
  • Shall have minimum five years USN/USMC/USCG O-Level CNAFINST 4790.2 (series) aircraft maintenance support experience.
  • Shall have minimum three years T/M aircraft maintenance experience for the specific T/M aircraft hired to maintain.
  • The candidate shall be experienced in the maintenance of aircraft ejection seats, aircraft air conditioning systems, canopy systems, canopy jettison/fracturing systems, fire warning/extinguishing systems, Onboard Oxygen Generating Systems repair/troubleshooting, aircraft environmental systems maintenance, and aircraft pressurization systems troubleshoot oxygen systems, repair and test oxygen regulators and Liquid Oxygen (LOX) converters removed from the aircraft.
  • Shall have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be eligible to qualify for and able to maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) secret security clearance.
  • Candidates must have been released from military service with an Honorable Discharge to meet minimum qualifications.
