LTD Heating & Air is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to perform service, repair, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, experience working on all major brands, and the ability to deliver high-quality service in residential environments.

This position requires frequent travel and mandatory overnight stays based on project locations and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, service, and repair HVAC systems across all major brands
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment
  • Identify system issues and implement effective repair solutions
  • Perform ductwork repairs, modifications, and installations
  • Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards
  • Communicate clearly with homeowners regarding services performed
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years HVAC service and repair experience (all brands required)
  • EPA Universal Certification (required)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Experience with ductwork required
  • Must be willing to perform preventative maintenance services
  • Must be willing and able to travel frequently and stay overnight as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • HVAC installation experience (a plus)
  • NC HVAC Tradesman License (not required, but a plus)
  • Plumbing experience (a plus)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and confined areas
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods

Schedule & Travel Requirements

  • Schedule varies based on operational needs
  • Frequent travel required across service areas
  • Mandatory overnight stays required based on job location
  • Early mornings, extended hours, and occasional weekends may be required

Compensation & Benefits

  • $25–$35 per hour (based on experience)
  • Weekly payroll (paid one week in arrears)
  • Paid Time Off (PTO): 96 hours annually (use-it-or-lose-it, not paid out upon separation)
  • Company-paid hotel accommodations for overnight travel
