Job description

Board-Certified Occupational Health Physician

Ladgov Corporation is seeking a Board-Certified Occupational Health Physician to provide comprehensive occupational health and employment physical examination services in support of Grissom Air Reserve Base (GARB), Indiana. The selected physician will perform medical evaluations to determine the fitness and medical qualification of federal civilian employees and applicants in accordance with Department of Defense regulations, occupational health standards, and federal employment medical requirements.

The physician will conduct a wide range of medical examinations, including pre-employment physicals, fitness-for-duty evaluations, occupational and annual surveillance examinations, overseas employment physicals, termination physicals, post-exposure evaluations, vision and hearing assessments, and other employment-related medical examinations. All examinations and required testing will be performed at the provider's medical facility using contractor-furnished personnel, equipment, laboratory services, and medical resources.

The physician will review applicable medical documentation, evaluate employees against position-specific medical standards, complete required federal medical forms, determine medical qualification for employment, and submit completed examination reports within required timeframes. The position also requires close coordination with Grissom Air Reserve Base representatives to schedule appointments, address medical questions, and ensure compliance with HIPAA, Department of Defense guidance, and Occupational Health Program requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform employment and occupational medical examinations for federal civilian employees and applicants.
  • Conduct pre-employment, fitness-for-duty, occupational surveillance, annual, overseas, post-exposure, and separation physical examinations.
  • Review Standard Form 178 (SF-178), position descriptions, and other medical documentation to determine medical qualification.
  • Complete and sign all required federal medical documentation and occupational health forms.
  • Order and interpret required diagnostic testing, laboratory studies, vision screening, hearing evaluations, pulmonary function testing, and other examinations as authorized.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling with the designated Government representative.
  • Submit completed examination reports and supporting documentation within required deadlines.
  • Maintain complete patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Ensure all services comply with applicable DoD, Air Force, OSHA, and occupational medicine standards.
  • Serve as the medical provider responsible for employment medical determinations under the contract.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification in Occupational Medicine/Occupational Health (required).
  • Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States.
  • Experience performing occupational medicine and employment physical examinations.
  • Knowledge of federal occupational health programs and medical qualification standards.
  • Ability to accurately complete federal medical evaluation forms and documentation.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience supporting Department of Defense or other federal agencies.
  • Familiarity with Air Force Occupational Health Program requirements.
  • Experience evaluating firefighters, law enforcement personnel, and safety-sensitive positions.
  • Experience supervising occupational medical surveillance programs and employment medical evaluations.
