Join Our Team as a Maintenance/Service Technician!Working as a team and having a positive attitude is critical.Carter's Heating and Cooling works in a variety of job applications from commercial new construction & remodels to residential new construction & remodels. Pipe fitting to in-floor heat, if it is related to heating and cooling we do it all!Summary

As a Heating and Cooling Service Technician, you will be essential in providing high-quality HVAC services, ensuring optimal performance of heating and cooling systems. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will utilize your core skills in refrigeration and HVAC, along with your premium skills in service technician experience and HVAC design, to troubleshoot and repair residential systems. Strong communication and organizational skills are vital for effective customer interactions and time management. Your mechanical knowledge and field service expertise will contribute significantly to maintaining our commitment to excellence in residential construction and property maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Diagnose issues using schematics and mechanical knowledge, providing effective solutions.
  • Communicate with clients to explain services and address concerns, demonstrating strong customer service skills.
  • Manage time efficiently to complete service calls and maintain organized records of work performed.
  • Collaborate with construction teams on residential projects, applying HVAC design principles as needed.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in HVAC systems and refrigeration techniques
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in appliance repair
  • Familiarity with HVAC design and schematics
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proven time management and organizational abilities
  • Experience in residential construction and field service
  • Valid driver's license and experience as a van driver
