Job description

Assembly and Warehouse Technician

Job Description

This role combines hands-on assembly work with warehouse operations in a clean, temperature-controlled production environment. You will fabricate and assemble, operate various tools and equipment, and prepare finished products for shipment. The position involves cross-training across multiple areas of the warehouse and production floor to support daily operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of assembly tasks using saws, fitting assembly tools, crimpers, assembly lathes, pressure testers, flush booths, and air-powered tools.
  • Prepare assembled products for shipment by packaging, labeling, and staging orders according to specifications.
  • Use basic computer-based programs to enter, review, and track assembly and warehouse data.
  • Read and interpret product prints and follow written instructions to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication.
  • Use measuring devices such as calipers and tape measures to verify dimensions and ensure components meet specifications.
  • Record assembly-related data accurately on assembly paperwork and other production documentation.
  • Perform cycle counting and assist with physical inventory to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Work and cross-train throughout the warehouse and production areas, including hose fabrication, kitting of parts, crimping, solvent flush room, ID center (pulling parts), and cutting hose.
  • Float between different workstations and departments as needed each day to support production and warehouse demands.
  • Handle and move materials and products safely, including standing, bending, stooping, and twisting throughout the shift.
  • Operate warehouse equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner, following all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and maintain a smooth workflow.

Essential Skills

  • Completed high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to consistently lift up to 40 pounds throughout the shift.
  • At least 6 months of labor or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
  • Ability to use hand tools and basic assembly tools safely and effectively.
  • Capability to read and interpret product prints and basic blueprints.
  • Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers and tape measures for accurate measurements.
  • Comfort with standing, bending, stooping, and twisting for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills to work with computer-based programs for data entry and tracking.
  • Willingness to work 2nd shift from approximately 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with overtime as needed from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

  • Experience with hose fabrication and related manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with crimping tools and equipment.
  • Experience working in a solvent flush room or similar environment.
  • Comfort using air-powered tools and assembly lathes.

  • Strong reliability and willingness to be cross-trained across multiple departments.

Employees work primarily on 2nd shift from approximately 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with potential overtime from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The role involves regular standing, bending, stooping, and twisting, as well as consistently lifting up to 40 pounds. You will use a variety of tools and equipment, including saws, crimpers, assembly lathes, pressure testers, flush booths, air-powered tools, measuring devices such as calipers and tape measures, and basic computer-based programs. The production floor and warehouse are organized and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and professional setting for hands-on manufacturing and assembly work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.35 - $20.35/hr.
