SUMMARYThe Field Technician is responsible for demonstrating exceptional customer service while conducting mechanical repairs and/or service to internal and external customers equipment. The position is primarily responsible for traveling to customer sites, representing the companys values and ensuring that their equipment is serviced to the standards of Southwest ToyotaLiftResponsibilities:The following responsibilities are a general guideline and not intended to be an exhaustive list of the full scope of responsibilities.Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based on business needs and at managements discretion.Ability to professionally communicate with customers both in-house and in the field; and build strong relationshipsCapability to trouble shoot mechanical issues and write clear job recommendations and descriptionsDemonstrate knowledge of parts and the ability to determine if parts are needing to be replaced or repairedRepair gasoline, LPG, electric or diesel-powered forkliftsMake repairs as needed including replacing worn or broken parts, adjusting brakes, tightening body bolts, aligning wheels, etc.Lubricate vehicle and perform other duties in connection with maintenance and operation of lift truck as requiredPerform manual labor such as heavy lifting and operation of power equipmentCommunicate effectively with supervisors and escalate issues as neededComplete paperwork, as needed, to open work orders / close work orders accurately and in a timely manner to ensure appropriate processing and billingKeep van clean.
