Dietary Aide
General Purpose
The dietary aide assignments are determined by the needs basis on the activity of the shift. He/she reports to the Cook and Dietary supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with meal and snack preparation as directed
  • Assemble trays, portion items, and help with meal service
  • Deliver meals to resident rooms and dining areas with care and attention
  • Wash dishes, clean equipment, and maintain sanitation standards
  • Stock and rotate supplies using safe storage practices
  • Follow food safety guidelines, allergy precautions, and infection control procedures
  • Communicate needs, concerns, or changes to the Dietary Manager

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and respectful in a resident-centered environment
  • Food service experience helpful, training may be provided

Language Skills
Ability to read technical procedures.
Ability to read and follow recipes.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
