Job description

Krieg DeVault is seeking a Summer Intern to support the Firm’s Legal AI strategy, implementation, and training initiatives. This role is designed for a student interested in the practical application of AI within a professional services and legal environment.

The intern will help translate emerging AI capabilities into practical, secure, and responsible workflows for attorneys and business professionals. This is an outcomes-driven, workflow-focused role centered on adoption, enablement, and operational impact—not software engineering or technical system development.

The intern will support initiatives that introduce AI usage, effectively, responsibly, and efficiently within the Firm.

A strong emphasis will be placed on governance-conscious implementation, responsible AI guardrails, confidentiality, and practical workflow integration. Key job duties will include support of AI strategy, workflow analysis, use-case development, AI implementation, governance and pilot support, training, user enablement, and the production of polished, executive-friendly deliverables that support strategic decision-making and user adoption.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally across all levels of the Firm
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools
  • Experience developing presentations, training materials, process documentation, or knowledge resources
  • Self-starter capable of working independently while remaining aligned with Firm priorities and leadership direction
  • Ability to translate technical or complex concepts into practical guidance for non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical thinking, professionalism, and operational judgment
