Description

ENT & Allergy Specialists is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Allergy & Immunology Medical Assistant (AI MA) to join our Allergy & Immunology team. As a vital member of the clinical team, the AI Medical Assistant supports both direct and indirect patient care to promote optimal patient outcomes while delivering exceptional customer service.

This position combines clinical and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, strong attention to detail, accuracy, teamwork, and a commitment to patient safety. The ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a high level of performance in a dynamic setting is essential.

This role is Monday through Friday and requires flexibility in work hours and travel between clinic locations in Northern Kentucky and Lawrenceburg, IN as needed to support patient care.


Primary Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

  • Obtain and document patient medical history in preparation for office visitsย 
  • Room patients and obtain vital signs
  • Assist providers during patient visits and procedures
  • Administer injections and monitor patients according to established protocols
  • Perform diagnostic testing as ordered, including Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs), FeNO testing, Patch testing
  • Perform symptom triage for time-sensitive patient concerns
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record

Administrative Duties

  • Process prescription refill requestsย 
  • Manage medication prior authorizations
  • Respond to and appropriately route patient phone messages
  • Assist with appointment coordination and patient communication

Compliance & Professional Developmentย 

  • Maintain current knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training
  • Adhere to practice policies, procedures, and federal regulations
  • Help ensure OSHA compliance and a safe work environment
  • Protect patient confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of patient care

Requirements


  • Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant or Nursing program appropriate for the roleย 
  • Current BLS and CPR certification
  • 3-5 years of physician office experience, with specialty practice experience preferredย

  • Previous Allergy & Immunology experience
