AI in education refers to the use of artificial intelligence technologies to enhance teaching, learning, and administrative processes in educational settings. This includes personalized learning platforms, intelligent tutoring systems, automated grading, and data-driven insights to support student progress. AI can help educators identify students' strengths and weaknesses, provide tailored resources, and improve overall learning outcomes. It also streamlines administrative tasks, allowing teachers to focus more on instruction and student engagement.

How does an AI in Education specialist typically collaborate with teachers and curriculum designers?

AI in Education specialists often work closely with teachers and curriculum designers to understand classroom needs and learning goals. They provide insights on integrating AI tools that personalize learning experiences, automate administrative tasks, and analyze student performance data. Job description

Company Description

At Edmo, weโ€™re transforming how universities attract, evaluate, and admit students. Our AI-driven platform combines Document Intelligence, Conversation Intelligence, and Human Intelligence to simplify the entire admissions journey โ€” reducing what used to take weeks into just hours.

Role Description

Weโ€™re looking for a Product Development Specialist who can bridge business strategy, user empathy, and technical insight to shape the future of AI in education. Youโ€™ll work closely with our CEO, design, and engineering teams to define the roadmap, prioritize features, and deliver world-class solutions that universities love.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Translate emerging trends in higher ed and AI into concrete roadmap ideas for the CEO, design, and engineering teams
  • Contribute to the long-term product vision by identifying where AI evaluation and admissions workflows are headed
  • Document recurring issues and feed structured feedback to the product team to improve evaluation logic and model performance
  • Collaborate with product and engineering on testing new features before rollout

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • A strategic mindset โ€” someone who can move beyond fixing what's in front of them to anticipate where the product and the industry are going next
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; open to recent graduates
  • Experience with Salesforce, higher education systems, or student lifecycle platforms is a strong plus.
  • Strong technical understanding โ€” you can converse confidently with developers and data scientists.
  • Exceptional communication skills; you can explain complex things simply.
  • A passion for building elegant, useful, and impactful products that make education accessible.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • A track record of proposing net-new product directions, not just improving existing ones
  • Experience integrating AI/LLM-based workflows into enterprise software.
  • Prior startup or 0โ†’1 product experience.
  • Familiarity with university CRMs like Slate, Ellucian, or Salesforce Education Cloud.

Why Edmo

  • Join a category-defining company backed by leading investors and trusted by the largest online universities.
  • Work on products that genuinely change lives and reshape the future of learning.
  • Competitive salary, stock options, and performance bonuses.
  • A team that values speed, impact, and innovation over bureaucracy.
