Local MN preferred, open to remote candidates willing to relocate for conversion to FTE. M. A. Mortenson is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own production application delivery, release management, and DevOps process maturity across critical Oracle platforms. This role serves as the primary owner of production deployments, CI/CD processes, release coordination, observability initiatives, and deployment governance. The successful candidate will partner closely with developers, architects, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to improve application delivery while ensuring stability and reliability across Oracle environments. This position is best suited for an Oracle-focused DevOps professional with strong release management expertise and a passion for process improvement. Responsibilities - Own production application deployments and release execution - Manage CI/CD pipelines supporting Oracle platforms - Coordinate enterprise release activities - Support code promotion and deployment governance - Drive DevOps process improvements and maturity initiatives - Manage deployment orchestration activities - Develop monitoring and observability capabilities - Support environment coordination efforts - Troubleshoot release and deployment issues - Define deployment standards and best practices - Partner with development, architecture, infrastructure, and security teams - Ensure reliability and stability across Oracle application environments

Release Leadership - The strongest candidates have owned deployment processes, release governance, code promotion strategies, and enterprise release coordination. Observability & Monitoring - Experience with monitoring, dashboards, alerting, and enterprise observability initiatives is highly desirable. Cross-Functional Leadership - Candidates must effectively coordinate efforts across development, architecture, infrastructure, security, and support teams. Process Improvement Mindset - The hiring manager specifically wants someone capable of improving how releases and deployments are executed across the organization. FlexDeploy experience is preferred but not required. - The hiring manager specifically stated that Oracle platform expertise is substantially more important than direct FlexDeploy experience. Strong Oracle deployment professionals should not be excluded because they have not worked with FlexDeploy. The hiring manager is evaluating candidates based on impact, capability, and ownership rather than years of experience. Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate the ability to: - Own DevOps practice maturity - Improve release processes - Lead deployment governance - Drive observability strategy - Coordinate complex enterprise releases - Establish deployment standards - Influence multiple teams across the organization

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $95.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
