Job description

This is an office based position in Louisville, KY.

The AI Solutions Engineer will own the complete lifecycle for the AI agents and automation development for Heaven Hill, from infrastructure setup and backend integrations to user-facing interactions. This position will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, end-users, and technology teams to deliver solutions that quickly move from concept to production, enhancing employee effectiveness and accelerating Heaven Hill’s digital growth.

This position will provide internal support to Heaven Hill as needed on our key data sources, pipelines, semantic models, and processes via collaboration and knowledge sharing. This also includes partnership with the IT product owners and the business the complete projects following the Ways of Working protocol.

Position Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Agent Development: Build and deploy AI agents using LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Anthropic, or similar frameworks to securely query enterprise data through ChatGPT Enterprise.AI
  • Data Integration & Management: Create and maintain data connectors exposing SQL, SharePoint, and other enterprise systems via MCP or custom solutions, enforcing strict security standards and RBAC.
  • MLOps & DevSecOps: Develop and automate CI/CD pipelines for prompts, vector stores, and schema management; monitor AI solution performance (latency, token usage, accuracy).
  • User Engagement & Support: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders for interactive development, capturing user feedback and ensuring high adoption rates through clear documentation. Work with product owners to lead internal projects (Tier 3 support)
    • Utilizing Fabric, and SSRS/SSIS
    • Data Projects – Enterprise Data Warehouse, Power BI implementation, updating legacy data pipelines
  • Research & Evaluation: Evaluate emerging AI technologies and tools and provide strategic recommendations on technology adoption.
  • Security & Governance: Align AI solutions with internal security policies, conduct threat modeling, and prepare for compliance audits.
  • Improving our Team, Tools and Processes: Help maintain systems by updating code as needed, documenting/fixing processes, mentoring and collaborating with other engineers, suggesting process and technology improvements or changes
  • Partner with manager to plan, write, and implement policies and procedures that demonstrate best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support during weekly data engineering team meetings and project discussions, especially around following best practices and team policy.

Role Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience developing backend services/data pipelines, preferably in Python
  • Practical experience with LLM orchestration frameworks and vector databases
  • Proven experience deploying production applications on Azure
  • Deep understanding of OAuth, JWT, RBAC, and secure data access principles
  • Proficient SQL skills, including query optimization

Valued but not Required Experience:

  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio plugins or Fabric Lakehouse

  • Familiarity with OpenAI Platform, ChatGPT, Gemini or Llama

  • Certification in Azure AI Engineer (AI-102) or Azure Data Scientist (DP-100)
