POSITION DESCRIPTION: Senior AI Data Analyst / Analytics Team Lead

Location: Pentagon, Arlington, VA

Status: Contingent Hire - Full-Time - On-Site

Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance Required

MUST HAVE: Demonstrated experience leading Department of Defense analytics initiatives, artificial intelligence (AI), data integration, business intelligence, and executive decision-support activities supporting senior military leadership.

Position Summary

The Senior AI Data Analyst / Analytics Team Lead provides senior-level data analytics, artificial intelligence, and business intelligence support to Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC), Installations and Logistics (I&L), Global Positioning Network (GPN) Program. Working on-site at the Pentagon, the position serves as the Government's principal contractor lead for GPN analytics, providing technical leadership, executive decision support, and data-driven recommendations to senior leaders.

The Senior AI Data Analyst leads an off-site analytics team responsible for collecting, integrating, validating, analyzing, and visualizing logistics and operational data from multiple Government sources. The position coordinates closely with Headquarters Marine Corps organizations, Center for Naval Analyses (CNA), Combat Development & Integration (CD&I), Installations & Logistics (I&L), and other Government stakeholders to ensure data quality, analytical consistency, and mission relevance.

The position develops executive-level dashboards, analytical reports, predictive models, data files, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations that support logistics modernization, operational readiness, and senior leader decision-making.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen with an Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and ability to obtain a CAC card.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Eight (8+) years of experience supporting Department of Defense data analytics, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or operational analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Headquarters Marine Corps, Department of the Navy, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, or equivalent Department of Defense headquarters organizations.
  • Experience leading analytics teams and coordinating multiple concurrent analytical projects.
  • Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems to develop authoritative data sets and executive decision-support products.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining executive dashboards, performance metrics, scorecards, and visualization products.
  • Experience applying statistical analysis, predictive analytics, machine learning, or artificial intelligence techniques to operational, logistics, maintenance, or business problems.
  • Experience preparing executive briefings, analytical reports, decision papers, and senior leadership recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and enforce enterprise data standards, quality assurance processes, and analytical methodologies.
  • Experience coordinating analytical requirements with Government stakeholders, senior leaders, and external organizations.
  • Experience using Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other enterprise analytics platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, technical writing, briefing, facilitation, and executive communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting Marine Corps logistics modernization, Force Design, Global Positioning Network (GPN), Condition-Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+), or operational readiness initiatives.
  • Experience working with CNA, CD&I, Headquarters Marine Corps, or Department of the Navy analytics organizations.
  • Experience developing AI-enabled decision-support tools and predictive analytics models.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based analytics platforms, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Databricks, AWS, or equivalent enterprise analytics environments.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification, or equivalent process improvement experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.

Primary Duties

  • Serve as the senior contractor lead for Global Positioning Network (GPN) analytics supporting Headquarters Marine Corps leadership.
  • Lead and supervise an off-site analytics team responsible for developing analytical products, dashboards, reports, data models, and executive decision-support tools.
  • Coordinate analytical activities with CNA, Combat Development & Integration (CD&I), Installations & Logistics (I&L), Headquarters Marine Corps organizations, and other Government stakeholders.
  • Develop, maintain, and validate authoritative data files supporting GPN operations, logistics analysis, readiness reporting, and strategic planning.
  • Design, develop, and maintain executive dashboards, scorecards, performance metrics, and visualization products supporting senior leaders.
  • Apply artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistical analysis, predictive analytics, and business intelligence techniques to identify operational trends, risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
  • Establish, implement, and enforce enterprise data standards, quality-control procedures, and analytical methodologies to ensure consistency and integrity of all analytical products.
  • Integrate data from multiple Government systems to create comprehensive decision-support products supporting Marine Corps logistics and operational planning.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses of logistics, readiness, maintenance, operational, and business data.
  • Prepare executive-level briefings, white papers, information papers, analytical reports, and strategic recommendations supporting Senior Executive Service (SES) and General Officer leadership.
  • Support development of key performance indicators (KPIs), performance metrics, trend analyses, and predictive models used to measure organizational effectiveness and mission readiness.
  • Coordinate analytical requirements, priorities, schedules, and deliverables with Government leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor analysts, promote best practices in analytics and AI, and ensure technical quality across all team products.
  • Support data governance, cybersecurity, privacy, and records-management requirements in accordance with Department of Defense policies.
  • Identify opportunities to automate analytical workflows and improve efficiency through AI, scripting, data engineering, and advanced analytics technologies.
  • Perform additional analytics, artificial intelligence, business intelligence, data science, and technical leadership duties necessary to accomplish contract requirements.
