About The Role Senior AI Recruiter

Axiom Space fosters a work environment inclusive of all perspectives. We are the pioneers of commercial space, leading the transformation of low-Earth orbit into a global space marketplace. Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic Senior AI Recruiter who is fueled by high accountability, execution horsepower, and driven to understand our world, science/technology, and life itself, for the benefit of all on Earth and beyond.

POSITION SUMMARY

This role blends sharp talent instincts with AI-driven tools and data-informed process improvement to identify, engage, and close top-tier aerospace talent — from initial sourcing through offer. If you're energized by full-cycle recruiting, confident operating with autonomy, and passionate about using technology to outpace the market for hard-to-find talent, this role is built for you.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for engineering, operations, technical, and corporate roles, driving speed and quality across the entire hiring funnel.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to attract specialized talent, including niche aerospace skill sets, leveraging AI-powered tools to scan web databases, screen resumes, and match candidates to open roles using match-score technology.
  • Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, role requirements, and long-term talent plans.
  • Develop and manage candidate pipelines for high-demand roles such as flight software engineers, avionics specialists, program managers, and systems engineers.
  • Conduct behavioral and technical screening to assess qualifications, cultural fit, and alignment with program requirements, utilizing conversational AI, chat assistants, and bots to automate early-stage screening and streamline interview coordination without manual delays.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific hiring regulations, including OFCCP and export-control requirements.
  • Drive employer branding initiatives to strengthen the company's presence in aerospace tech talent markets.
  • Use data and analytics to track recruiting performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend process improvements that reduce overall time-to-fill and refine recruiting best practices.
  • Communicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Implementing and maintaining agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned.

  • Proven success sourcing and closing specialized technical talent in competitive or cleared markets.
  • Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems and AI-powered sourcing and matching tools; experience with Workday and LinkedIn Recruiter preferred.
  • Track record of driving results in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, with the sound judgment to problem-solve proactively and positively impact hard challenges.
  • Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines while delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to recommend and implement modernized recruiting techniques, automation tools, and process improvements that measurably improve time-to-fill and candidate quality.
