What is AI automation testing?

AI automation testing refers to the use of artificial intelligence technologies to automate the process of testing software applications. This approach enhances traditional automated testing by using machine learning and data analysis to identify test cases, detect defects, and optimize test coverage. AI-driven testing tools can adapt to changes in the application, reduce manual effort, and improve the accuracy and speed of testing processes. As a result, organizations can deliver higher-quality software more efficiently.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an AI automation testing professional?

To thrive as an AI Automation Testing professional, you need a solid understanding of software testing principles, programming languages (such as Python or Java), and AI/ML concepts, often supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium, Appium, and AI-powered testing frameworks, as well as certifications like ISTQB, is highly valued. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help professionals excel in diagnosing issues and collaborating with development teams. These skills ensure the delivery of robust, efficient, and reliable AI-driven software products in a competitive technology landscape.

What are some common challenges faced by AI automation testing professionals when validating machine learning models?

AI Automation Testing professionals often encounter challenges such as ensuring that test cases comprehensively cover the unique behaviors of machine learning models, dealing with non-deterministic outputs, and handling large datasets efficiently. It's also common to face difficulties in setting up reliable test environments that simulate real-world data scenarios. Collaboration with data scientists and developers is crucial to define meaningful metrics and effectively interpret test results, ensuring the AI system meets both functional and ethical standards.

Job description

About the Role

Creative is the single biggest lever driving Scribe’s paid growth. Every month, our short‑form Meta ads reach tens of millions of people, stopping the scroll and introducing new audiences to a better, faster way to work. We’re looking for the seasoned strategist who can take that creative advantage and push it even further.

You will own the creative lifecycle on Meta from research and insight development to concepting, scripting, storyboarding, production, testing, and iteration. You know how to turn a complex workflow or pain point into an idea that is simple, entertaining, and impossible to scroll past. You understand performance data, consumer psychology, and the cultural signals that separate a good ad from a breakout one.

This is not an execution‑only role. It requires someone who can switch seamlessly between strategy, storytelling, and hands‑on creative execution. You love digging into performance results just as much as you love crafting a narrative arc, and you know how to translate that narrative into briefs that creators and editors can execute at scale. You think in systems, variations, and testing frameworks—the kind that support producing and testing 100+ creatives each month, not one‑off ideas.

You will partner closely with our Creative Marketing Lead and a high‑caliber team of creators and growth marketers. Together you will shape the testing roadmap, uncover new angles, build repeatable winners, and run bold experiments that move acquisition forward. Speed matters here. You should thrive in an environment where ideas quickly become briefs, briefs quickly become assets, and assets quickly go into the market. You are energized by fast learning cycles and you know how to maintain both volume and quality without ever losing the thread of strategy.

What you’ll do
  • Own the end‑to‑end creative process for Meta, turning research and insights into high‑converting concepts, scripts, briefs, and storyboards that consistently capture attention and drive new Scribe users.
  • Create, produce, and test 100+ ad creatives a month, moving quickly from idea to execution while maintaining a relentless focus on clarity, storytelling, and measurable impact.
  • Translate performance signals into creative strategy, using metrics like Hook Rate, Hold Rate, CTR, CPE, and CPA to understand what’s working, why it’s working, and what to produce next.
  • Push the boundaries of paid social creative, experimenting with new formats, visual styles, and production approaches that break through the feed and differentiate Scribe in the market.
  • Collaborate closely with creators, editors, and designers, writing briefs that bring ideas to life at scale while preserving narrative intent and creative integrity.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with cultural shifts, platform changes, and emerging creative techniques, applying the latest insights from Meta, competitive analysis, and the creator ecosystem to keep Scribe ahead of the curve.
  • Challenge conventional best practices with bold, insight‑backed ideas that raise the bar for what performance creative can look like — and prove it through testing and results.
You could be a great fit if
  • You come from a creative craft background (filmmaker, content creator, editor, storyteller) and you bring that artistic eye into performance advertising. You don’t just make ads; you make work you’re proud of.
  • You’ve lived in both worlds — agency and in‑house — and understand the strengths and blind spots of each. Having both experiences is a strong plus. Ideally, you’ve shipped high‑volume creative and owned strategy inside a team where results matter every day.
  • You can turn raw data into creative insight. Whether it’s a Meta export, a Looker dashboard, or a spreadsheet of early signals, you know how to break it down and use metrics like Thumbstop rate, CTR, CPE, and CVR to understand what worked, what didn’t, and what to test next.
  • You use AI as an accelerant, not a crutch. You’re comfortable with AI tools and automation to speed up research, iteration, and rough drafts. You rely on your own taste, insight, and storytelling skills to shape the final work.
  • You think in angles, audience, and emotion, not templates. You build concepts from human truths, pain points, and behavior psychology. Copywriting and scripting your ideas is second nature.
  • You move fast without being reckless. You’ve worked in 1–2 week sprint cycles before. You know how to balance speed, quality, iteration, and insight without letting ego get in the way.
  • You are humble, collaborative, and low‑ego. You can spot a great idea from a mile away, articulate why it’s great, and elevate the people around you with clarity and conviction.
Qualifications
  • 4‑6 years of experience in paid social performance marketing, with a strong track record of developing, launching, and iterating creative that drives meaningful customer acquisition.
  • 2‑3+ years of experience specifically in a creative strategy role, not just production or media buying. You’ve owned the insight, the hypothesis, and the creative direction.
  • Hands‑on creative craft experience, including scripting, storyboarding, and video editing. You must understand the craft deeply enough to brief and direct editors and creators with clarity.
  • Experience in both agency and in‑house environments, and an understanding of the pace, expectations, and creative rigor required in each.
  • Strong performance fluency, including familiarity with Meta’s ad formats, placements, and algorithmic behaviors. You know how to build creative hypotheses, interpret performance signals, and translate them into new angles and variations.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate the “why” behind every concept, script, and test you run.
Full‑Time US Employee Benefits Include
  • Some of the nicest and smartest teammates you’ll ever work with
  • Competitive salaries
  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits
  • Equity in a hypergrowth startup
  • Flexible PTO
  • 401k
  • Parental Leave
  • Commuter Benefits (SF office employees)
  • WFH Stipend

Compensation will be determined based on a candidate’s level of experience and location.

At Scribe, we celebrate our differences and are committed to creating a workplace where all employees feel supported and empowered to do their best work. We believe this benefits not only our employees but our product, customers, and community as well. Scribe is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
