Job description

Overview

Automation Applications Engineer position located in Fort Wayne, IN. The role involves installing, maintaining and troubleshooting automation systems using machine and computer vision technologies, and collaborating with clients to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of automated solutions. The engineer will provide support to the Automation Engineering team.

Responsibilities
  • Design, installation and configuration of automation systems using machine vision technologies and integrating AWS Machine Learning or similar platforms.
  • Maintenance and repair of automation equipment including machine vision and machine learning components.
  • Testing and quality assurance of automation equipment including machine vision accuracy, machine learning performance, and overall system efficiency.
  • Interact with clients to understand automation, machine vision, and machine learning requirements and provide technical support.
  • Maintain documentation of automation installations, configurations, machine vision settings, and machine learning models.
  • Ensure safety compliance during installation, maintenance, and repair of automation systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field, or foreign degree equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in the listed areas:
  • Experience with design, installation and configuration of automation systems using machine vision technologies and integration of ML/AI platforms.
  • Experience in maintenance and repair of automation equipment including machine vision and machine learning components.
  • Experience in testing and QA of automation equipment and system performance.
  • Experience in client interaction and technical support for automation projects.
  • Experience in maintaining detailed documentation of installations and models.
Location & Compensation

Salary: $94,515.00 annually. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k) participation and paid time off as applicable.
