Job description

We are seeking an Intermediate Data Analyst to support the evolution of analytics across the Sawmills Division. This role will help deliver reporting modernization initiatives, migrate reporting assets from legacy platforms, develop Power BI solutions, and contribute to emerging digital twin, AI and automation capabilities.

The successful candidate is a curious problem-solver who enjoys working with business stakeholders to transform data into actionable insights while developing expertise in modern analytics platforms.

Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.

2-5 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or reporting.

Experience with Power BI, SQL, and data visualization best practices.

Understanding of data modeling and reporting concepts.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Experience with Tableau, Cognos, Alteryx, or Microsoft Fabric is considered an asset.

Interest in AI, automation, and emerging analytics technologies.

Partner with business teams to understand reporting, analytics, AI or automation needs.

Gather business requirements and translate them into reporting, data engineering, AI agent or automation solutions.

Support the development and testing of AI-enabled and automated solutions by validating data, documenting requirements, and assisting with user adoption activities.

Contribute to PowerBI semantic model engineering, data transformation processes, and reporting standards.

Develop, maintain, and improve dashboards, reports, visualizations, semantic models

Perform data validation, quality assurance, and data pipeline troubleshooting activities.

Support digital twin initiatives through engineering, validation, reporting development, testing activities, and user adoption support.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to simplify and modernize reporting processes.

Support the migration of reporting solutions from Cognos and Tableau to ReportsNow and Power BI (sunset period)
