AI Agent Tech Lead

Embedding VC

Job description

About Lingopal
Lingopal builds real-time AI language technology, with a live translation product used in production today. We're now building our next product - an AI agent platform aimed at enterprises with heavy customer-support needs (hospitality, airlines, travel) and fast-scaling AI-agent companies.
About the Role
We're looking for a AI Agent Tech Lead to be an early, hands-on builder for our new AI agent product - and to grow into technical leadership as the team scales. You'll work directly with the founders, own core backend/full-stack systems, and move fast: we're testing with pilot customers in Q4 2026, and the direction will sharpen based on what we learn. Speed and adaptability matter more here than infrastructure depth or performance optimization - we need someone who ships.
What You'll Do
- Build the core of a new AI agent product end-to-end - backend and full-stack, from prototype to pilot.
- Turn rough product direction into shipped features fast, iterating with real pilot customers.
- Make the early, high-leverage technical decisions and set the engineering bar as the team grows.
- Grow into technical leadership - mentoring, hiring, and owning architecture as we scale.
- Work hands-on with modern AI tooling (LLMs, agents, voice AI) as a daily part of the job.
What We're Looking For
- 1-5 years of software engineering experience - strong hands-on builder, comfortable owning things end-to-end.
- AI agent background preferred (agent frameworks, LLM-powered products, voice AI a plus).
- Backend / full-stack strength.
- Startup mindset - we lean toward startup/YC-caliber builders over Big Tech pedigree; rapid feature development over performance tuning.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving priorities; high ownership and a bias toward shipping.
- Wants to grow into a leadership role.
